One of my favorite parts of serving on the Stampin’ Up! 2026 Artisan Design Team is that every assignment encourages me to look at my supplies with fresh eyes.
For our June Group 3 assignment, we were challenged to create one or two projects using the Fern & Flora Bundle while pairing it with products from our own craft stash. We could use any current Designer Series Paper, specialty papers, embellishments, or trims, but instead of following the suite’s suggested colors, we were encouraged to explore something different.
Challenge accepted!
I decided to create two handmade cards featuring a bright, cheerful color palette that celebrates the beauty of nature while adding a playful watercolor feel.
For these projects, I combined:
- Fern & Flora Bundle
- Valley In Bloom Designer Series Paper
- Wood Grain Wonders Designer Series Paper
- Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
- Linen Thread
- Shimmering Dots
Color Palette
- Basic Beige
- Crumb Cake
- Pecan Pie
- Shaded Spruce
- Granny Apple Green
- Coastal Cabana
- Flirty Flamingo
- Melon Mambo
- Daffodil Delight
One of the things I love most about creative challenges like this is discovering new color combinations I may never have chosen on my own. It’s a wonderful reminder that sometimes the best ideas are waiting just outside our comfort zone.
If you’re ever tempted to purchase an entire suite because you love one element of it, don’t forget to look through the products already in your craft room. Mixing new and existing supplies often creates the most unique designs.
I’d love to know…
Which card is your favorite?
