There was a time in my life when I didn’t recognize myself anymore. The weight of a difficult season had left me feeling scattered, like a puzzle with missing pieces.
But even before I understood what was happening… Jesus did.
Before I had the words for it, He saw every moment. Before I found the strength to move forward, He was already making a way for me to be restored.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
But Jesus Never Left Me There
Looking back now, I can see Him in every detail. In the quiet moments where I felt a nudge to keep going, in the protection I didn’t even know I needed, and in the strength that showed up when mine was completely gone.
He didn’t just bring me out of that season—He began restoring me.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
Healing Looked Different Than I Expected
It wasn’t one big breakthrough moment. It was small, intentional steps. It was learning to trust my thoughts again, learning to hear God’s voice over the noise, and learning that I was still worthy, still chosen, and still deeply loved.
And in the middle of that healing, I found my way back to creating.
Paper Crafting Became Part of My Restoration
There’s something sacred about working with your hands when your heart is healing. Cutting paper, stamping truth, and layering pieces together gave me a place to process what I couldn’t always put into words.
You’ll notice the torn blue cardstock in the center of this card. I chose to tear the edges intentionally because it reminds me that our lives don’t have to be “perfect” to be beautiful. In God’s hands, even our torn edges are part of a masterpiece. Each layer tells a story of His faithfulness.
“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” — Joel 2:25

Where I Am Today
Today, I see His faithfulness everywhere—in my healing, in my marriage now, and in the joy I’ve found again. And in the way He’s using something as simple as paper crafting to restore hearts. Including mine.
